I have noticed in certain views, especially 3D views, it can be hard to read the temporary dimension values. This can be caused as a result of not being able to read the temporary dimension text or not be able to visually see the temporary dimension because of the obstruction of the elements in the background.

Users can change the text size and background setting for temporary dimensions within the Revit Options dialog.

Go to the “Menu App” icon and select the “Options” option in the lower right corner.

From the “Options” dialog box select the “Graphics” Tab.

Change the Temporary Dimension Text Appearance to a proper text size and change the Background setting to “Opaque.”

Now the temporary dimension value is much easier to see especially when trying to read the values within a 3D view.
