In this click saver I want to discuss how to print out you layer list when using the AutoCAD platform. I was recently asked by a client on how to do this. This is whole lot better than the old –Layer and ? trick that I use to use back in the day.

  1. Open up the Layer Properties dialog.
  2. Highlight the layer you want or all of the layers (CTRL-A) .
  3. Copy the layers to the clipboard (CTRL-C)
  4. Open up Excel and paste from the clipboard (CTRL-V)
